Android 12 Developer Preview, One-Hand Mode and a Bunch of New Features

Android 12 is still six months away from being officially released.  But before that, under the developer program, Google started giving the first update of Android 12.  The main reason Google is releasing developer updates is for developers and OEM companies to start working on their applications and custom skins.  A glimpse of how the design and updates have been integrated into the new version of Google's operating system can also be seen in the developer preview.  The latest update to Android comes with a new design called Material NEXT.  The notification shade also now has a translucent (translucent) background.  Google has also added one-handed mode in the latest update of Android 12.  Also added are new security and privacy features.  Let's take a look at how improvements have been made to Android 12 under the developer program.

First of all, Android 12 comes with Material NEXT design.  Unlike Android 11, which originally had a white background, the upcoming Android update will have a bluish tinge that will be visible in light and dark themes across the interface.  There is also a translucent layer in the background of the lock screen.  Google has also made some changes to the notification tray.  Translucent backgrounds can be seen here as well as the lock screen.  Recent calls, messages and other things can be seen in the new Conversation Highlights widget.  The blue setting will also catch the eye in the quick setting tile.

Google has added a new one-handed mode to the Android 12 update.  This will be a suitable feature for large screen phone users.  Because many times the phone does not reach the corner of the screen when the hand is held in one hand.  In this case, if the one-handed mode is turned on, the screen size of the phone can be reduced virtually.  Then all the options of the phone can be easily accessed with one hand.  We have seen such a feature before in Samsung OneUI and OnePlus' Oxygen OS 11.

With the latest update, Google has made some minor changes to the widget  According to reports, it will have some similarities with Apple's iOS 14 style widget.  The feature is hidden now but will be available in the future.  Google has come up with a bunch of privacy features on Android 12.  This will highlight an indicator when an application uses the camera / microphone in the background.  Permission dialog box will also be available in the new update.  Applications that require access to a microphone or location can be allowed from a shortcut in Settings.
